Whale Watching
Whale Watching there is a volunteer gray whale watching program during peak
migration times coinciding with winter and spring breaks. Trained volunteers
stationed at thirty locations on or near the Oregon Coast provide
information and assist spotting whales. Volunteers train at Oregon State
University's Hatfield Marine Science Center and other facilities.
Azalea Festival on
Memorial Day weekend
Enjoy displays of beautiful azaleas as well as the annual Bonsai Show, also
a carnival, beer garden, art displays, crafts shows, and a lot more. Old
Fashioned 4th of July at the Port of Brookings-Harbor, see a chili cook off
and watch a watermelon eating contest, see fireworks over the harbor.
